I love book blogs and the way the good ones cultivate passionate communities of readers and lovers of the written word. I was lucky enough to get some recent love from two excellent book blogs: Book Chatter and Book Addiction. Thanks to Heather and Ti for the lovely reviews! And if that weren’t enough, What the World Will Look Like When All the Water Leaves Us also scored a valentine from The Fiction Writers Review. In their round-up of books they loved in 2009, FWR gives due attention to some terrific titles: Colson Whitehead's Sag Harbor, Hannah Tinti's The Good Thief (paperback), Allison Amend's The Things That Pass For Love, Lauren Groff's Delicate Edible Birds, Kevin Wilson's Tunneling to the Center of the Earth, and Jennine Capó Crucet’s How to Leave Hialeah, to name a few. Hurray for books!
